WITgrip® (Wearable Interactive Technologies grip) has initiated collaborations with established industry leaders and academic researchers to develop new devices and network solutions. These projects are designed to deliver high-performance, secure technologies, for complex technological environments. WITgrip is developing next-generation mobile and network technologies. These efforts focus on engineering robust solutions for specialized user requirements.
WITgrip also provides patent protected mountings, curved and with cushioning, to enable devices to be side mounted over the distal forearm/wrist. Further technology, beyond that of the device, can be incorporated into the mountings.
Secure Access & Hub
An individual’s device can be setup for provisions of ID, secure access and entry. Improving flow where bottlenecking is an issue, and adding layers of security otherwise not possible. Further along the idea of a hub, devices used by a team can share data specified to each members’ requirements. The hub facilitates a secure mesh network where data is filtered based on individual user roles. Each device functions as a hardware authentication token, granting member-only access to integrated systems. The team can be relatively stationary as on a bridge of a ship, or mobile as a ground team. A team network can be created, secure, and strengthened by the presence of more team members with devices widening the network coverage.
Biometrics & Data
A true lifesaver, if we find ourselves in an emergency, perhaps unfortunately injured and unable to get up to reach a phone. We can now have our phone on us anyway, and can call for help from loved ones or even the emergency services. The WITgrip allows for much easier viewing and use, which becomes increasingly important if our joints are stiff or limited. The neutral viewing position allowed by the use of WITgrip, allows a unique optimally relaxed position for using a blood pressure and pulse meter device; which results in more accurate measurements.
We can even keep our detailed medical records and data readily accessible, and more importantly securely on us. For example athletes can use their secure entry with biometric ID devices to also carry military grade encrypted individual records, to be accessed by medical professionals and officials along with physiological measurements collected for assessment. Our soft feel WITgrip can be worn loosely and still provide all the required securing of the device in position, thus avoiding irritation to the skin and underlying tendons, and without interference in function for the sport.
Logistics & Tracking
Ergonomic devices aid functioning in logistics and tracking, from within the warehouse, on the road, at the docks, and to the door. Reducing strains and improving safety. Seconds and minutes saved in operations, translate to improved margins.
Specialties or Extreme Sports
A twist on the convention; of particular interest for such specialists as drivers and pilots especially where space for controls and data collection is limited, for clear viewing of the screen while still in full control. Options for comms can be included, and for buttons for reliable emergency use. Mutipurpose devices are tailored for, physiological monitoring, biometric data, and haptics. Solutions for difficulties in data interpretation include assignation of meaning utilizing live situational inputs via the device interface, improving quality in feedback for reflection and training.
Larger devices offer multiple new possibilities when side-mounted, such as for deep sea diving, parachuting, and many other extreme sports.
